HOME MADE ROSE PETAL OIL

COMPONENTS:

MARULA OIL (SCLEROCARYA BIRREA)

200 millilitre

ROSE PETALS

100 millilitre

INSTRUCTIONS / DESCRIPTION:

For me the best rose petals scent has damask rose, but you can use other rose species (wild rose, rosehips). It must be without contaminants.

Rose petals have astringent properties which act as a skin tonic. Rose moisturizes and hydrates dry, sensitive skin. It fights against skin redness and inflammation, and it helps fix broken capillaries. Other benefits include stress relief, anti-depression and decreased irritability. The oil can be massaged directly into the skin or added to your bath.

This oil is very good option for skin care but I was decided this mixture add in to the medicine section. Because rose plant has more than 300 chemical components.

How to make rose petal infusion:

1# Method:

Pick fresh rose petals free from insects or disease. Gently crush the rose petals by rolling them between your palms. This helps release their natural oils and scent.

Place the crushed rose petals in your jar. Pour just enough marula oil over rose petals to cover. Place lid on jar and let sit for one day.

After one day remove the rose petals from the oil. Squeeze the petals to remove excess oil back into jar. Discard petals (old petals you can use in the hot baths).

Repeat steps 5 about six to seven times until you achieve the rose scent you desire.You will have very aromatic oil.

Store in a sunny window. Do not forget to shake the container every day (or mixed with a glass spatula)

After all procedure take oil into a dark glass bottle and store in a cool place about 1 year.

2# Method:

Rose petals changed every week about 2 months. Then you will have full of good properties and heavily saturated oil

Store in a dry cool place for 4 weeks, sometimes remove the jar in the sun

Do not forget to shake the container every day (or mixed with a glass spatula)

After all procedure (remove – change – shake) take oil into a dark glass bottle and store in a cool place about 1 year.
